Just received a Note from the Guy. They're NOT replacing the small Rubber Line and the Steel. I'd say that's a big bummer and there they go .... Prices wouldn't be that bad, he quoted me around 320 Euro for a complete Set, all Brakeslines plus necessary small Parts, like Brackets and such and the Clutch Line, all with steel Fittings, shipping would be 42 Euro to Australia. Sorry Chris, i don't think that would help. I'll try to get my Ride in somewhere in late October .... That's okay mate. Thanks for chasing for me. That's the setup I already have from Russell that I am looking to eventually change. The Russell kit really isn't all that bad, it just doesn't address the weakest link now. The hunt will continue locally I guess. |

And she is ready to hit the track!
All things went pretty smooth (new front shoe, steel valves, brake pads, bleeding, etc ...) Now if I can just figure out how to make her 200 pounds lighter She is what she is and that's a great bike, but if I enjoy this as much as I think I will, I might just have to get a track bike to mess with! |

Unfortunately not Ted.
My mind has been preoccupied with other thoughts at the moment. Right now I am just hoping to clear my head before the day so I can have some fun. That's not the place to be where you want your mind wondering all over the place. Maybe a track day is exactly what I need to get me focused on other things |

But dont let it distract you so much that you get yourself (or anyone else) hurt on the track. The track will be there for later....get your head right before you get out there. |

Hit the nail on the head there my friend. You are spot on. I have another 2 weeks to the day to get myself ready. And if I am not I won't be on hat track All the support here to help me through it is great. Bunch of great people I've met through owning this bike is just amazing. I am thankful for that. Ted is right, I need to get my mind off things otherwise I will never move on I m looking forward to it |

I think everyone is really interested in how you and MAX go Kris. You have certainly gone about it the right way.
I told my son I will pay for a few track learning days for his birthday and Christmas. Then I thought, while he is working away for 4 months I might just do it myself as well. I`m getting his Ducati Monster ready and I will do a beginners course and work up. It will be interesting to see how many bad habits I have over the years, as I have never really had proper tuition. Everyone who does the courses reckon they are great, no matter how long you have been riding. Last year there was a rider on an early VMAX with a strengthened frame, he was having a ball. Sounded damn good down the straights. I think you will have a lot of fun mate, it will be good for you to. Vic |
