Has anyone heard of the final number on how many got sold out of the 2500? Could a dealer call in somewhere to corporate world and find out? Anyway sure been curious about it, then we'll know how rare this beast really will be and how few will be on the road. thanks...

1670 09s sold in the USA . That came from Jeff he`s the guy that did the marketing & research for the 09 vmax .

Let's see...that 2,500 minus 1,670 equals 830 times $7,196 ($17,990 * 40%) equals $5,972,680 less...ummm...yep...Yamaha definitely has a few less employees now...is Jeff's future secure???...

The number, according to Star as told to me directly by someone with access to that information at the Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Dec 5, 2008 is 1600.

That only makes sense. Yamaha has a few hundred to move. They can't rebadge as a 2010.

The last 800 will keep the market going with no glut & maintain resale, till the 2010 gets here.

Our escapades on the street & on these websites will surely generate another 800 sales.
