I keep listening to the sound of that V4 exhaust racing by and I have to admit that for what seems a stock bike they do sound awfully good. Can you imagine how this beast will sound with some custom of aftermarket pipes?

They just needed to mix in a little sound of a siren in the background.
If that's a stock bike sound...yikes. The Busa guys are gonna be ticked. |

Dump 30kg to 40kg of yer new "Max"
Toss the muffler,s...after market is better, cheaper Don,t have to worrie about your new "Vmax" muffler,s getting damaged..It,s harder to clean with stock pipe,s Resting place for tar and loose stone,s Straight header,s with insert,s..sweet as a GP scooter They look very much like the old CB750 Honda pipe,s Sorry but they have to go..The bike is to heavey now.. and all new light weight metal Frame and no main stand... Will the new "Max" run full synthetic oil..And a USB PowerCommander...got a feeling i,m gunna have to modded the crap out of it to get my 200RWHP this is "Exhausting" |

Actually fairly deep note at idle. I am sure they are borderline and Yamaha had to - yet again - use the EXUP to quite the bike down at half rpm - where the feds measure noise. One reporter on site (USS midway) said something like: These pipes are street legal?! Again, they are stock pipes. Don't expect a loud bark. You won't have to toss them right away - unless you want to for various reasons. I am also sure that with a few simple mods you can make them sound really good. |
