Tomorrow morning I'll be on my way to Spain.
I tried to get in touch with Charles and I got his email from his friend Luis.
I sent Charles a message and today I received his answer:

It’s so nice to hear from you!

I´m now at home, and more than willing to see you again, but I don’t think you should bother, mainly because I live quite far from Bilbao.

You know I live very near the restaurant LA ROCA where we all had a great meal and enjoyed the taste of the asturian cider……

If you leave the main road or motorway as you come from Bilbao at the Ribadesella exit, you enter the N-634 going to Arriondas, you pass Arriondas and about 10 km along the road you will arrive to where you leave the 634 in this place (check the pics).

As soon as you get to the place, my house is about 700 mts from the main road. If in doubt, please call me (+34 626056315).

Ha Tejo, you're going to celebrate your daughter's birthday in Spain, right?
I thinks it's great you are going to visit Charles. Give him and his wife my regards (although I've never met him).

Yesterday, my son in law Alvaro and I, went to Charles by car.
It was a 240 km ride by car and after some phonecalls with Charles we found his house.

Pilar, their daughter Judith and Charles welcomed us and Pilar organised a big lunch.
Paella and meat.

Charles still has to undergo some major surgery.
The doctors took a lot of flesh and muscle from his right leg to repair his left foot.


He´s a tough guy and I wished him and his family great strength for the future.

Tomorrow we go home and I´put the pics later on the site.
