After my mods and new map....this bike is just horrible on mileage. I know you can't expect mileage from a monster bike....but I guess I just need to realize that 60miles per tank full is the cost I must suffer for more horsepower!
I will say I've NEVER rode such a fast and quick bike like this. I mean it's SCARY quick....but it does like the fuel. Anyone else seeing this? |

Nope, not seeing it! All I see is snow right now! And when I do get to ride I've opted out on the PCV and Autotune soon after it was installed for the extra thirty to fourty miles on the tank full. Xpipe and go baby

Well, assuming the Bike is well tuned, it's not the Bike, IT'S YOUR RIGHT WRIST !! Seriously, accell, decell, accell doesn't do any good on the Mileage. If your riding with constant Speed and not much changes on the Throttle Position, you'll find a much better Fuel Consumption. But this Riding Style takes a Lot of Fun out of it.... Maybe it's Time to contact Yamaha Sickness about a bigger Tank ? |

Your not alone, with very simple mods I got 47 miles on my last tank before the light came on.Not sure how long you can go after that.

I got the same mods as you sfcrick and a custom map that is good for @ 195hp. Like you said its a beast with these mods.
Having said that I am getting 160Kms out of each and every tank. The badest run I had was 120kms before the light came on. I did build a solid map for my bike. It took the dyno guy 4 hours and we started off by using fx big air map as the starting point and customised it further for my bike. I don't do burnouts so that might be why. I don't baby it either. If I was one of those guys I wouldn't have done the mods I have and would have left it stock. |
