If the price is not a concern, any authorized Yamaha Dealership is the best and fastest in my opinion...just order Yamaha PN: GYT-0SS56-10-01, which retails for $219.95...try K&N in Tulsa, OK...they usually have some good prices...I am sure there are others that offer good discounts...

Hey There ! All I can say is who ever you order from is---Make Sure You Use The YAMAHA/STAR Part #. I ordered one from Cycle Gear and ended up with the wrong stand w/wrong lift ends and no spools. They did their best to correct the problem, However, Harris won't talk to anyone in the states ! Ended up getting a refund after alot of wasted time and effort ! I got LUCKY and found a close-out/clearance one from a dealer in Roseville, Ca. for $70.00 complete & delivered----Best Deal I've Had In Years !! Guess I had it coming for all the BS I went thru to begin with ! They were selling thru Yamaha Dealers at an average discount of around $ 170-$180.00 Don't know how available they are now ?, As I Think there may be problems w/Harris and Yamaha ? I might be wrong ? Maybe It's Harris & the U.S., or just Harris ? Look On E-Bay/Amazon AND MOST IMPORTANTLY--TRY 1ST ON THIS SITES SPONSOR's AND MAKE SURE YOU USE THE STAR ACCESSORY #---GOOD LUCK, and WELCOME, Mark

Mark,
The Yamaha PN: GYT-0SS56-10-01, IS the Star Catalog (Yamaha Accessories) part number...

I just don't think "Star" is correct and I have never nor will I will ever consider my V-Maxes as a Star...they have always been, are now and will always be, a YAMAHA...

"Star" is what you put on those Hardly-a-Davidson look-a-likes like the Star Stratoliner and other like it...I don't think Yamaha wanted a law suit from HD, so they threw the Gen-2 V-Max into the Star pot, just in case...

And since the Gen-2 V-Max was a financial gamble at best, Yamaha may have decided to throw it into the Star side, JUST IN CASE...but then WHY is the V-Max, a "YAMAHA", outside of the USA???...

Anyway, back to the Harris Rear Paddock Lifter...as you mentioned, to avoid the hassles of incorrect items arriving, I would recommend to everyone to just put up the money and buy it from Yamaha...oh sorry...STAR...and be done with it...your Gen-2 $17k to $20k machine is too valuable to be pinching pennies over $30 to $40...

Your normal rear paddock lifter will not do it, as MOST are too narrow for the Gen-2 V-Max's swing arm...and MOST are built for your run-of-the-mill crotch rockets, like R1s and R6s, which are a lot lighter in weight and have different dynamics...

The Harris Lifter is well made, comes with everything you need and JUST DOES THE JOB for the Gen-2 V-Max...

Hey CVV! RELAX, I Agree W/You ! I was just try'in to Help The New Guy,(like me),on his 6th post. Notice I did say YAMAHA/STAR Part# ? Regardless of How We Feel, The VMAX is part of the STAR Line, Which We All Know is a YAMAHA ! When I'm riding my YAMAHA VMAX, The #1 question I get is, What Kinda Motorcycle Is That ? My answer is ALWAYS--- A YAMAHA ! Hope I Made You Friend Now ? Sincerely, Mark
