Steve,

You are truly missed! I come back to this thread every time I get a chance to get internet access. I see your posts on those older threads and can't believe you wont reply no more. We only spent a few days and nights together 3 years back, when we tore up the roads around Grand Canyon.
What a fun time it was. I will always remember your kindness and dedication to your son Jake.
Thank you for everything you have given us - I truly hope you made it to a better place and are back together with Jake!

Ride on brother, ride on!

My name is Cathy Pearly, and my husband was Steve Pearly otherwise known as sdpearly. I have just read 6 pages of posts that have truly touched my heart. I wanted to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, and ask that you share them in his online guest book in the obits section of www.mydesert.com.(Links below) When our son Jake died nearly 3 1/2 years ago, we were both devastated. Steve found comfort in talking about Jake everywhere he could. One of his favorite things to do was play on his computer, and he loved this Vmax forum. He checked it nearly everyday, probably a couple times a day! When all of you supported him with the memorial rides taken all over the world for our son, we were both floored at the compassion you all displayed. He truly cherished all of his online friends. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the beautiful flowers you sent, they were very prominent at his memorial service. I am hoping to post the picture slide show we had at his memorial on youtube.com sometime this week, and will let you know when it is there. Thanks again. Cathy

Cathy, thanks for taking the time to post this.
You can see how well-liked and recognized Steve was on this Forum.

The nature of internet interaction makes it even more difficult to realize that he is gone. He will be sorely missed.
A few of us had the privilege to meet Steve in person at our So Cal meeting in San Pedro and we all enjoyed him very much.

I wanted to add that Art (cvvmax), took it upon himself to send the flowers and that he sent them on behalf of all of us on the Forum.
He mentioned this to me while we were all still under the initial shock. Many of us wanted to do something or say something but Art just went ahead and did it on behalf of all of us and I just wanted to acknowledge that. Art, if you read this, you’re a champ. It was an important gesture to show the appreciation we had for Steve.

Cathy, you are in our thoughts and prayers, hope you find some amount of comfort in all the sympathy messages from Steve’s Vmax family.
With my deepest condoleances

I don't know what to say. This is such a shock to come back to.

Steve, I liked you from the first time I read one of your posts on this forum. Your kindness, wit, and sense of humor warmed my heart and made me smile everytime I read something from you. I enjoyed your posts and personality enough that I looked up more information about you and your son, Jake, and watched videos from you and others on youtube. I always wanted to get the stickers on my Max to commemorate the passing of Jake but, now I guess I will need another set as well.

From this day on, I will imagine every cloud in the sky as you and Jake smoking off some rubber together again...forever.

Ride on Steve. I will miss you brother.

My sincere condolences go out to those friends and family left behind. Steve Pearly will never be forgotten.
