I was the second and forth owner- 1st guy had 650 miles on it when I bought it, I traded it for the 09 last June with 4400 on it, the dealer sold it last August to 3rd owner who has several bikes and didn't like it (can you believe that?), and he traded it back to my dealer on May 1 of this year. Sat for 3 months and I saw on Craigs list they had one in inventory so I stopped to see it and it was my old one, so I couldn't pass it up. Didn't like the Honda Sabre much anyway, so I dumped it.

Hope you didn't have to pay more than you sold it for ?
If not ? How much did you rent the 300 miles for ? Mark |

Good for you! It's always cool to get a bike or car back. Too bad you didn't like the Sabre. I always liked them a lot, even though I never owned one (which may have changed my mind).

To answer Mark (who continually reminds me of Bogie)When I traded it for the 09, I paid $10,000 difference. So, I imagine the dealer put about 6500 in the 05 to show about a grand profit on the 09. Then he sold it 6 months later to a regular who kept it about 5 months (over the winter) and traded it back in, but I don't know for how much. When I just re-bought it, I gave him $3000 difference with my 04 Sabre which I paid $2500 for this last January at the dealership where I work. So, in my mind, I paid $5500 for it, and I am pleased. I almost paid $4000 for a 97 Max with 14,000 miles, but it was nice. Worked out perfect for me, and now will distract the older boys from wanting to ride the 09!
