TOPIC: Race ECU question

Race ECU question 2 years 4 months ago #1

Ok, I have searched and read as much as I can on the race ECU here. I am in the US, CA to be exact. Purchased the race ECU from staduim yamaha. Will have next week. I have no mod, fully stock. Plug and play? I just unplug battery to keep from having a spike, swap ECU's and connect battery. That's it right?

Yup, plug & play...takes longer to get to it than to R2.

Short explanation...... make sure ignition switch is off, unplug old ecu, plug in the new.

The night we tested the Gurued Gear reflashed ecu, I changed the ecu out three times that night
and never disconnected the battery. Just be sure the ignition switch is off.

Jeff,

Yes--Everyone is right.

One other thing you should do is add the foam rubber pads like on your stock ECU.

They will not be included on the Race ECU.

Either swap or replace ?

They are prototype emblems that Gurued Gear will have for sale shortly.
