Sure, most here would do the same.

If the Inspector returns the entertaining Lesson, you'll end up with no Sticker and no John Hancock, then you have the dirty End of the Stick in Hand ...

Seriously, sometimes Rules are just like that, Rules, either obey them or live with the Consequences. And you have no Idea how different Things can be in another Part of the World. Just ask Lee, he could tell you Stories, if he'd write a Book, you'd better bring a PDA oder Reader Device, because you might be very uncomfortable to carry a printed Version of it.

Regarding the Blocks....

I think you fit the hard Pipes into the Blocks with teh Coupling Nut of teh hard Pipe and then mount the Block to a Braket or something like that. The Block carry the Weight and Movement of the Line without stressing the hard Pipes.

Just the one color. It's hard to see in the photo but it looks just like Carbon fiber.

I am sold on those!!! I've reached out to Sports plaza to get a shipping quote to Australia.
They are by far the cheapest I could find, but the automatic shipping calculator is quoting me $129 bucks
So I've asked them for a USPS Priority shipping which shouldn't be more than $45.
Haven't heard back from them. They seem to use AOL or some similar email service

Thanks Mark. Those are a clear choice for me!

Don't know if that's a Concern for you, but afaik, the Line Ends MUST be made out of Steel in Australia, which is, i believe, isn't the Case with these.

These are steel....I just checked them. They are D.O.T. approved (US standard) which may be why. Not all lines sold are.....I see all brands seem to have D.O.T approved and ones that are not....maybe the ones that are not have ends that are aluminum, I don't know.:hmmm:

The "big square blocks" are where the brake lines merge into the ABS hard lines, a bolt goes through the blocks and bolts into the lower frame to secure the whole shabang.

So guys what options are available out there for break/clutch line kits for the Gen II?
They all claim to be the best. What has everyone used here without getting into a war zone?

I heard a few names thrown around such as: Hell, Goodridge, Galfer, etc ....

I am sure each kit has its own pro/cons.
I'd like to get some black ones to blend with my bike
I would like my connections anodised black as well if possible

Also is it true that we shouldn't bother with rear brakes so much. I was told that when you have braided lines in the rear it is much easier to lockup your rear or engage ABS in our case and should leave rear stock and only replace front?

Thanks.

I went with the Yamaha Russell kit because I liked the way it looked. It comes with all the rubber pieces to fit in the stock holders. I'm not sure how it compares price wise with the other kits, but it's really not that expensive from a discount Yamaha dealer.
As far as the rear goes...I don't know how it could be easier to lock up than the stock setup...sucks IMO. The braided lines give you more feel and the ability to modulate the brake a little. It's still not great but it is better.
