Can someone please elaborate for me on the whole "non-functional air scoop" thing? I'm not sure how they don't work exactly

The air inlets are forward of the airbox and engine, allowing fresh air to be channeled into the airbox. They don't pressurize the air box, so they aren't considered RAM air, but they do function to bring cool air into the intake area of the engine. Hope this helps..
