The air inlets are forward of the airbox and engine, allowing fresh air to be channeled into the airbox. They don't pressurize the air box, so they aren't considered RAM air, but they do function to bring cool air into the intake area of the engine. Hope this helps.. Hey B_M.......you got that statement down to a science now!

As much as I like to bust on the scoops and their functionally.......I'm finally gonna go with "Yeah, what he said"!
