Alright, alright...take it easy...:) Yes, I HAVE searched AIS and came up with no relevant info. I've read lot's of stuff ABOUT it, but not much technical. So...am I just blocking off the tube? :)

Hello everyone, I'm new here.

Richard, I just got my '09 about 3 months ago and have the same conditions as you, stalling @3000-3500 rpm and the smoke at start-up (sometimes), only the smoke is from the LEFT side since I have the UFO Cat Sass/Afterburner set up where the head pipe on the left is for cylinders 2&3 (left front and right rear) so the right side is for #s 4&1, witch tells me we're both getting the smoke from cylinder #3 (each rear header crosses over to the opposite sides). The left can has more black soot than the right (= cyl 4&1) so it leads me to believe #1 is hot and lean. Also sometimes very hard to start when warmed up and will die when leaving from a stop. Very annoying.

I also have the PC-V mapped for a different exhaust system but it's all DynoJet has. I'll be asking Tim if he can re-flash my ECU because a lot of his earlier Dyno work was with the older Cat Sass Afterburner setup back in '09 (see his vmaxguru.com website). It may help with the big flat spot in the 3-3.5K range or there may be another problem. My frame number is 184, built in 12/08.

The next trick will be an AIS Mod - fairly simple.

What map are you running now, and what mods do you have to the intake if any? I might have map that would get rid of that flat spot for now....won't help the individual lean cylinder though.
