You may want to loosen the hanger bracket & see if you can get the muffler pushed in more onto the collector. The video shows the slop but also maybe the muffler can go in a little more. Also might want to loosen the rear pipes in case you tightened them first. If I remember the instructions said to leave things loose, assemble, adjust as nessessary for fit before really making it all tight. Ya might need to walk away from it & go back at it another day, messing around with it.
My cans wiggled a little but not as bad. I messed with the system & they are solid now. As Bob mentioned I had exhaust leaks, showing soot at some of the rear joints head pipe to collector. I found some T-bolt clamps which clamped nice & round, not oval. The leaks are almost completely fixed. Very little soot leak showing vs a big soot marks. It's basicly just a soot water drip ya see when ya look under there. My biggest problem with the V&H was the center bolt for the rear pipes where it bolted to the rear motor mount. I used a longer bolt with nut for that. |

We have viewed the video with your concerns on your V&H VMAX system. We are certain the expansion on the collector was not properly inspected before it was packaged and is undersized. Will you please provide us with your shipping details, so we can ship you a replacement part asap. Also, we are going to send you a left hand part to insure that both sides adhere to our standards. We apologize for your inconvenience and would like to thank you for choosing V&H! Email
