Thank You BUT that's not what I'm talking about, the clutch is grabbing to far out on the release ! The clutch is new , but it seems like it out of adjustment . I already adjusted the numbered adjustment , I have it on number 4 now .

There is no clean way to do this. You mention that you have replaced the plates. Are you sure that you didn't leave out a plate?

Adding a 2nd clutch spring will change the release travel immensely and add many miles to the life of the clutch..

Bob's right. A second spring will bring the grab in closer. Did you replace the plates with OEM ones?

No. Simple. The trick is keeping the second spring in place. There is a member who sells a spring seat that keeps the second spring in place. I'm testing a solution wher you remove the stock spring seat, but the juries’ still out on that one. So far so good.

Not at all, just remove the clutch cover while the bike is on the stand, pull the 6 bolts that hold the spring, add a 2nd spring plate (replace the 6 bolts also) and put it back together. 30 - 45 minutes to do it is about right :)
