What's the step by step procedure for configuring the EVO Quick Shifter for gear dependent mode?
I just downloaded the updated software and firmware from Power Conmmander. Ken |

Ken, at least with the 1.6 version, You can select "single time" or "gear dependent". Single time I guess means all shifts are the same milli secs. I just (10 minutes ago) chose gear dependent so I can extent first shift a little. Then I was able to save the settings.
Could someone tell me what "shift interval" means and what the number represents? Good luck Ken |

Shift Interval means the Time inbetween consecutive Shifts the PCV allows.
If you choose a long Interval, you can't "short shift". |

Did you do the latest firmware update too? Ken |

There is a fairly simple calibration routine you need to go through with the rear wheel off the ground and the bike secure. Essentially you run the bike at idle in all 5 gears an simply click on what gear you are in, in the PCV software. It then knows based on the wheel speed and engine rpm what gear you are in when running down the road. Mark |

Ken, all I know is I have v-1.6. I did not upgrade to v-1.8 cause I don't "think" I have to. Early today I did what I wrote and it seemed to "save the changes" from what I had...(single time). Changing from 65 m. secs to 85 m secs in first gear only did not help with my problem of missing the shift due to tire spinning!!! WTF...
Sorry for the rant off topic. |

Got the software and firmware loaded in the PCV. To check the firmware I looked in the "View" header and it lists it under "Device Information"........just look where it says "Firmware Version".
Had a little trouble getting the firmware to take the first time but then figured it out. Under the configuration it had "Switch position 1 or 2" what's that about? There was a box for on/off....what's that do?.....I selected "on". Mark: I talked to DynaJet and they said basically the same thing about a speed wire. So who's done the "speed wire" thing? Pictures and steps work for me! Remaxed: The v-1.8 is the firmware......are we talking about the same thing? |

If you search for the FX speed fix.....the wire that ties to it is the same wire you need to use(ABS Wheel Speed Sensor). I've had 3 12 hour work days in a row.....so I'm a little burnt tonight, I'll touch base with you this weekend. My bike is also all a part and I'm working on it every night so........ |

Yes, if you want to have gear dependent Kill times, you'll need to hook up the PCV to the white/yellow Wir at the ECU or ABS ECU and calibrate the Gears as well as the Speed in the PCV-Software.
I left the stock Value, 250 ms, in Shift Interval Field. I'm sorry, i hooked up every Port on the PCV from the Get-go, never thought of anybody haveing it NOT done. |
