Nice Mark! Well the exhaust is the big thing...new bar end mirrors....Shorai battery.... VRoomy (when it's VReady)and eventually going back to a 200 rear wheel and the Shinkos. I like that YGear lowering kit as well....but I'll need rear sets with that so that will probably be over the winter after I sell a bunch of "extra" stuff I have. Probably try to get back to the drag strip soon...after running so many 10.01, 10.03 etc last few times I'll probably try a strap for the first time to try to get in the 9's consistently. |

I'm going to get this mod out of you, one step at a time. How did you run the wires? Did you have to do anything for the blink rate? The length of the plasma rod is perfect for the location. The wires they supply are very long and exit out of one side (the top the way I mounted them). They attach with tape that comes applied to one side. I drilled a small hole in the top of the aluminum shroud piece then ran the wire along the top of the radiator under the black shroud where they can't be seen. I covered the wire with mesh wire sheathing so that the wire insulation doesn't lay right on top of the radiator. Both wires exit the shroud in the middle and run very neatly attached to the brake line loop and up to the factory connections. There is a $5 adapter you have to wire in to each light to allow it to be a running light since it only has 2 wires. |

I had them wraped around the lower triple tree . Till the double sided tape came off. Then I cut them into the radiator.
Look at my fender support. I mounted hyper white lights on the inside of them .. They see you coming with them I thought with the flash there would be no need for a power comander . Guess your never to old to learn something. |

Well that's some smart thinking there Chuck....re-purposing those original lights and adding the other ones. With the flash most people aren't using a PCV because Tim has done tunes for many of the pipes out there. He builds all of he fuel adjustment right in. But because my Hindle is right now a "1 off" there is no such tune available.....he thinks one of the tunes he has is going to be close....but I'm going to get it on the dyno anyway just to verify. If Hindle starts selling a bunch of these, Tim will make a tune specific for it. He's got one for your combo now....the V&H, you know Hey it's nice to see you popping in here again once in a while.....I missed ya. |

I'm new to this forum, and haven't done a lot on other forums. But I've heard of some people getting upset, when an 'old thread' is 'resurrected'. So, if I'm breaking etiquette, then my apologies, in advance
Anyway, what I'm wondering is can we get the rest of those top-secret details that were said to be coming, Itgoes? For instance, what did you use to hold the plasma rods in place? Was the double-sided tape, that is included with them, good enough to last for the past year? And what were those plastic pieces you used for end-caps? I'm concerned that the plasma rods will look out of place, if I just slap them on there, without any way of 'integrating' them into the radiator shrouds. This version of front turn signals is, by far, the best I've seen. If it wasn't for this, then I would have ended up with the dim ones from UFO. Thanks to Itgoes and everyone else who contributed. John Hey John....no problem at all resurrecting old threads. It shows that you are poking around and doing some searching, much better than just asking questions that have been answered a hundred times! (IMO) As far as the turn signals go, yes they do come with their own double sided tape that is plenty strong and is holding up fine. The signals look factory when installed correctly. The end finsih is a problem as it is "raw" - they are just cut and look like hell if left exposed. I made finishers out of a black plastic jewelers srewdriver case I had laying around. I cut the corners off and shaped them to fit, then used silicone to glue them on. With some imagination you might come up with something even better, but I'm happy with the way the look. I made a very small hole in the radiator shrouds on both sides to run wires where they can't be seen. I also encased the wires in black mesh pvc tubing that is commonly available. I can take some more detailed phots for you if you like, just let me know. |
