Gurus,

2009 with 14K/ oil pump recall done.

I can hear a repeating/rapid (not constant) whistling noise from the crankcase (on right side of the enging, the sound is stronger). It's been there for a while now, no performance issues or other side effects and Vmax is running strong. The noise is most obvious when the enging is cold, and it goes away after a few minutes.

I like to check in with others and ask for thoughts/ideas to further examin the issue and perhaps prevent something worse from happening.

I have less than 1000 miles on the new oil pump. what other signs will support the oil pump failure? before I take it to the dealer, i like to try a few things if possible.	Ebi OFFLINE Junior Max Posts: 84 Thank you received: 8

Ebi, have someone sit on the Max upright. You keep your eye on the oil sight glass. Start the Max up while watching the sight glass, if the oil drops in the sight glass, the oil pump is working. Hey Ebi, Once you know that the oil level drops as per Jetmans suggestion, call me and arrange a time to drop by, I'll be happy to look at this for you.
