I'm looking for a simple mount with a very reliable GPS.
There are plenty from what I have learned and all state they are the best. I'm looking for simple, bright display with bluetooth capability, I would think, so I could hear the directions Any recommendations? Pics would help of the mounts This forum has always replied with the best solutions for this bike, and I know someone out there has been there and knows what I'm looking for Thanks in advance |

I have the Garmin Zumo 660. It comes with its own mounting system made by RAM. I have had mine mounted and it has stood up to sustained 130+ MPH on the German Autobahn. I have not had one sigle problem with it to date.
Good luck. -Lee- |

I recently posted about GPS mounts and received some great information and pics.
www.starvmax.com/forum/general-vmax/1583...s-mounts-and-sliders I went with the Zumo 660 and the Techmount handlebar mount.....only "issue" is there's really only one place to mount it using this mount....on the left side between the clutch mount and the left side handlebar controls. Just got it back today, I can get a pic if you'd like. If you have bar-end mirrors, Techmount makes a mirror mount that looks great (saw it on another bike in the shop). I've got the gadgetguy set-up also on order [see okbrown's post in the linked thread], and will probably switch to that once I add a few more things . BloomingtonMike made a suggestion for the Garmin 765T, which does just about all of what the 660 does and is less expensive, but I had already went with the 660. |

I can also highly recommend the Garmin Zumo 550. It is the older model but I have had it since it first came out and it has been awesome. Never a problem and it has been through all kinds of bad weather and weather extremes with no issues. I have traveled all over the USA with it and never any issues of any kind. I love it, just wish it had more internal storage space for maps.
