TOPIC: V2 Nash Flash

V2 Nash Flash 1 year 2 weeks ago #1

Got to install the V2 reflashed ecu for the Brock's Monster air kit and do some riding yesterday.
I know it's been said many times previously but it's the real deal.
Thank you Tim Nash you really hit a home run with this one.
Im very impressed with the smoothness the bike now has. The upper rpm power is quite impressive also.
Even if your not looking for the added acceleration or top end power increase I'd highly reccomend it for the much smoother rideability.

Im planning on doing a back to back dyno comparison between the V2 Flash and a stock ECU with correct mapping via a PCV very soon but I need to get my7 hands on a stock ecu first , so if anyone is getting ready to get a reflash I have a good ECU that Tim did a early edition flash on that I'd like to trade for a stock ecu for my testing , Im sure Tim could do any of his reflashs on this ecu , but check with him to be sure.

I'm very anxious to get my new flash in my bike and on the road. I got a call from my buddy Chuck today (NY1MAX) and he is THRILLED with how his Max runs with the re-flash. He couldn't stop saying how much it's transformed his bike into a much more enjoyable experience.

Tim you have a PM.

Want to clarify something I said above.
The V2 Reflash needs no mapping via the PCV , Im running a 0-Map and it is bad ass that way!!

I was referring to mapping the stock ecu with the PCV for a comparison against the V2Flash , can't wait to see the difference , I know by riding it you can feel the improvements without doubt.

Yes, truly the best bang for the buck available for the gen2! :jumping: I'm riding this week down in NW North Carolina and really appreciate the smooth power delivery out of the tight turns!! By the way, this is really GOD's country.

Hi, what could the PCV do with the new flash? Isn't the flash all needed, or you still need the PCV for the other mods?

trying to learn.

Thanks. Ebi.

Yes you are correct , the reflash needs no PCV , it is great without the PCV.
I am running the PCV with a 0map and its running great , I am going to do a test next week with the V2 Reflash to compare it to a stock ECU with a corrected PCV map for my setup , seat of pants tells me the reflash is without doubt stronger and smoother , and just for curiousity I'll probaly build a map with the V2 flash just to see if I can get any additional gains for my altitude here , but I doubt I'll be able to improve apon what Tim Nash has came up with. Im looking forward to seeing the rate of acceleration differences between the V2 and stock ECU on the Dyno.

I've also gotta say that Tim's reflash is awesome. My girl even noticed the smoothness with which you can cruise in the lower RPM's. HUGE bang for the buck.
I'd like to thank him publicly for sharing his passion for the bike. I do however believe that speeding tickets will be inevitable. Like the teaser book from Yamaha says, "the surging feel-good acceleration that gives riders a lust for thrust". Yeah, I'm more hooked than I ever was. The reflash allows objects in your rear view mirror to become miniscule even sooner than before.
For those wondering where to start with some mods, the reflash is certainly the answer.

You should think about your modification priorities through, especially if you don’t have a fuel controller. The aftermarket flashes are tuned based on intake and exhaust configurations. You won’t be optimally tuned if you get a flash for aftermarket exhaust and or intake modifications, while you still have stock intake and or exhaust.
