I was worried about the discontinued parts as well but when I called Yamaha customer service, the representative seemed truly surprised that my part had been marked as discontinued. She did some checking and found that it was a mistake and she had it reactivated. There was still a long lead time to get it but at least it was available.
 I wonder if more parts were marked 'discontinued' by mistake. Trying to stay positive by thinking that maybe Yamaha thinks these things are so indestructible that they don't need to keep parts for them.  - Grover |
