TOPIC: Mirror replacement

Mirror replacement 11 months 2 days ago #1

When going to the bar end mirrors what are you folks using to cover the threaded hole where the factory mirrors mounted?

I would like to install something there so it looks factory.

I just rotate the mirror mounting clamp 180 degrees so that it points down.

That's what I did too.....but I didn't like the way the threaded riser was smashed into the wiring so I trimmed them down as well. My wiring may have a little less slack because I replaced my factory bars with ones that are slightly longer.

Here is a crappy photo:

I did this very cheap & easy. Just go down to your local parts store and get some round plastic body clips for a Dodge or Chrysler...drop some clear RTV in the hole and place the clip in there. Cost about $3 to do. Looks like a champ!!

+1 Jetman! That is exactly what I did except I got mine from an ACE Hardware store that had a good assortment of all those little pull-out trays with all kinds of nuts, bolts, screws, and whatever. I think they were less than $1.00. I bought several just in case.
