TOPIC: small amont of play on 240?

small amont of play on 240? 11 months 20 hours ago #1

Can anyone that is running a 240 check this for me,i recently installed the 240 kit,i fitted new bearings etc etc and have been running it for a couple 100 miles or so,everything is done up to the correct settings, today i put my bike on the paddock stands to do some work on it and i have got a very "tiny" amount of play on the back wheel, when i say tiny it is probably not even 0.5mm but when i hold the top and bottom of the wheel i can feel the smallest of movement,,,my bike passed its MOT (road worthy test) 2 weeks ago and nothing was said.

I just put mine on my stand and I basically have what you are describing and I have around 17000 miles on the wide wheel. I don't believe it's a problem. Maybe some others can chime in.

There will always be some amount of play. Even the Ceramic bearings have a little..

Ok thanks guys,as the wheel is new and fitted with new bearings it did seem a little strange for there to be anything wrong but i just wanted to ask to make sure,i have got another bike but as it is not a shaft driven bike i can't compare it.
