TOPIC: Install saddlebags

Install saddlebags 10 months 3 weeks ago #1

Question for those who have gone before me on this one :hmmm: In instructions to install the factory bags US version, on installing the film tape it says to use sticker on. So does this film become permanent to the fender, never to be removed? For those who have removed the film, does it leave behind stuff? If removed is it reusable? Sorry for the questions, but want to keep the Max looking it's best. :nerd3:

I believe that clear film is reusable and is not permanately sticky. I do not believe it will leave any residue behind.

You can get some static cling window tint film if you want to remove it. Almost any auto parts, home improvemet store, even Walmart carrys it. Put it on carefully and you can barely see it. I use it under the tankbag sometimes too.

Do as Max_Warrior said.....window tinting film! The oem film is much thicker and once applied will come back off with effort. You won't want to reuse again thou....I tried. It stretches enough to make it unusable! :cry2:
