TOPIC: V Max is not in alignment ?!

V Max is not in alignment ?! 10 months 2 weeks ago #1

Hello v max Lovers, I have a brand new Vmax Matt Black 700 miles and from the beginning i had the feeling that something is wrong with the alignment of the bike.

first i thought the steering wheel is not straight because is looks it is more to the right while driving .
Also my left arm is more straight than my left arm.

when i ride and let my hands of the steeringwheel i have to move my upperbody more to the right to correct the balance.

This makes the conclusion that the Motorcycle is not in alignment .

I have driven my whole life motorcyvles and feel everything but this is not something minor.

The frame is build up from different parts in the front, maybe someone else had the same problem and can tell me what to do .

Have anyone got a cleu what this can be ?

Thanks and anjoy your V Max.

I'm not sure ... but this was a major topics when we all got them in 2009..

It's either tires or newness I think???

Thank you for the reply , this it is very annoying and it should not be possible if this is a common problem .

Hope to get a solution for this problem v Max lovers.

If it was not a new bike i would have thought that it have been in a accident and that the frame was not straight , that is how it feels driving it.

Just went to the Local Yamaha dealer and let The salesman drive it .

He was in agrement that the bike was pulling .

When you take your hands of the handlebars you have to move your body a lot to the right to correct driving in straight line .

There is an arrow on the keylock and a gap in the middle of the vork these two are not alignt either when driving straight .

The question is is the arrow on the lock the exact midde ?, probably it is and it looks to be.

What is your experience V Max drivers ??, would like to know .

This is a brand new bike so noting happened with it .

Thank you for any responce.

Well....you know what they say it takes a set of to ride a VMax......my guess is you just have to swing yours over in your pants to the right side.

I try to keep one on each side to keep the bike tracking straight. :yeah:

think it is normal because the drive shaft is on left side. so your weight has to move to the right to balance that during no hand riding..
