V MAX 2012 in ALIGNMENT for the FIRST TIME !! 10 months 5 days ago #1

Momentopname217-7-201214-46.png

No one seemed to knoww why my motorcycle was pulling to one side !!

Finally i called to my briljant mechanic in the Netherlands, he mentioned that the wheels are probably not in one line !!

Losen the bolts of the frontvork left and right 6 bolts and block the front wheel against a solid object .

Move the steering wheel to the richt side in my case , always had the feeling that the steeringwheel was more to the right .
The wall was on the right side of the wheel to block it.

Lock the bolts again and hold your motorcycle straight , i put a piece of wood under the sidestand.

lay on your belly in front of the motorcycle and look if the the wheels are in one line .

You can see in the picture how much you can see the rear tire come out of the left side, this was before.

Now it is perfect and i have a totally diffent wonderful steering Vmax. :puhh:

No wonder it drove like a Frikandel and was not steering at all and pulling to one side. :nononono:

Good luck my friends .

Basicly he lossened all the fork clamp bolts then alligned the wheels and retightened the clamps.

The tubes can twist inside the clamps and cause an alignment problem if in an accident. This bike was not properly alligned at the factory.

picture is Before problem was solved !!

You can see that the rear tire is hardly making contact with the road on the right side of the tire.

The dealer Called Yamaha , never heared of the problem so figger it out yourself and that is what i did .

All mechanics of all dealers and for sure Yamaha should know !!! , why because it costed my mechanic two minutes to find the solution !!!!!!!!!!!

I would be still waiting , good that i have my briljant mechanic and i never give up specially when you feel that something is definetly wrong .

How simpel is the solution afterwards and i blame myself for not been able to figger this one out myself .

Very happy i am now so end good all good .

Thanks for all the reply and have fun with your bike friends.

Good luck to all of you.

Thanks and the feeling is wonderfull . :steam:

It has a special feeling when you are first line at the trafficlight and a lot of free concreet right in front of you.

Knowing that there is not much what can keep up with you .

Bye Bye , 2 Fast 4 most others and in a blink you make it to an orange traffick light.

What can Beat That and the look of it .

Enjoy the wonderfull fun machine Guys
