:nonono:

Sorry u guys are havin' issues with ur bikes..

Only time I ever had suging @ cruz or jerkin' feeling in that 2-5% throttle @ cruz was a Bad map that I rode for like 3k miles & it does get a bit :tounge:

Try & down load new maps..

For a stock bike with just the air box mod, I have no clue.. :nope: Nothing else was done to the bike? Removed or added?

I am getting my recall on the wire grounding out to see if this helps -- but i agree it makes riding less than enjoyable-- and keeping it in the higher reves is great but you soon lose the range in which you can ride.

well this sounds like a common problem, I've had both recalls done with 35k on the beast, and the problem I'm having is when I open her up the bike cuts out like someone turned the bike off and then on. its a rough rough violent experience. Ive done the air box mod, power commander, ais mod, vance exhaust. bike is staying in the garage until problem is sorted out. has anyone seen anything from yamaha or in previous posts on this problem. nothing more embarrassing than dropping the hammer and the bike is a no show..

I'd start Trouble-Shooting with removing the Power Commander. COMPLETLY.

That means not only unplug the EFI Connectors, but also disconnect the TPS Connection and then a Test Ride. If a Power Commander is involved, most likely i'd suspect a Installation Problem or a failing PC V, it does happen. The "T"-ed TPS Connection can cause some Grief.

If this doesn't help, i'd check the ALL the APS and TPS Values in DIAG Mode, start from 0% Percent and raise turn the Throttle slowly, watch the Change of Values at every Step.

Change the fuel filter if you haven't done so. I had problem with my 97 thought the fuel filter had been change and it hadn't. I rode all summer and had the jerkin and fluttering while riding. Once I changed it, the problem was gone. Just a thought.
