Engine's designed to run on 87 pump gas.. You will not see even a 1 hp difference using additives..
You barely see that on aviation fuel.. |

I always use startron fuel stabilizer. It doesn't increase gas mileage but I feel it helps maintain engine performance.

Just wanted to clean up dirty injectors and lubricate the engine internals clean up some carbon build up. I know i won't gain any hps from additives.

Marvel Mystery oil. Keep the top of the intake valves cleaner (esp. the older V-Max) and adds a few mpg's.

I allways run Seafoam in my bikes , when Carpenter built my Busa motor he asked me what I had been putting in her as the motor was as clean as new with no top end build up on valves or anything else. Also my 98 max has been treated the same and when I did the Valve adjustment they were clean too

I used absolutely no additives in my Gen 1 and Yamalube oil and filter. When I had the motor apart for the Big Bore it looked like brand new. No carbon buld up and seemed a shame to have it apart. AS for the Gen 2, I thought the 91 octane was a ROM rating and for ROM you subtract 2 for a reccommended octane of 89. My bike runs excellent on 89.

Don't use any octane boosters unless you enjoy changing those little iridium tipped plugs.
Little Sea Foam now and then cleans the fuel system i put in 3-4 ounces to a full tank every couple months best way to keep it clean is to rotate the gas as often as your right hand will permit. |
