TOPIC: Exhaust cans Hooked to X-PIPE what do I need?

Exhaust cans Hooked to X-PIPE what do I need? 4 years 3 weeks ago #1

I figure you guys know. I am looking at buying two cans for my Max. I have the X_Pipe installed. What should I be looking for in reguards to size of the pipe inlet outlet connecting point, Hanger options, Mid pipe? etc. Any info would be great. Ebay links. I kind of want a short moto GP carbon look. Thanks

The X pipe duplicates the stock location and size of outlets on the cat can. So you should be able to use your stock muffler to determine mounting points and inlet size. Inlet is approximately 1& 3/4 inches.

Hey Mike
Just wondering if there is something you are unhappy about with he stock cans and Xpipe setup. Is it not loud enough? Is it to loud? And are you running anything else with the Xpipe PC, Autotune? My Xpipe is on the way and I plan on using the stock cans so just wondering Thanks Ride safe

No its perfect actually. I just like screwing around with things. Congrats you are gonna love it. PC5 and auto tune are on the way. I checked my plugs after a 900 plus mile trip and they were fine. Pops some when in the lower revs so I just keep them higher in the revs.. Raining like crazy here in ohio so that adds to be bordom..lol.. Heres a pic of the xpipe in a corner

I've been looking at alternatives for months, so I'll share some of what I found interesting. Thes first ones would be a hoot for bike night & are cheap

These short Harley style baffles would fit right into the xpipe and not require ANY mufflers.. ;)

Definitely getting a pair of these shorties, complete with brackets

And there's these Triumph style, new old stock :)

Any 2" sport bike muffler will work (usually expensive) with an adapter or sleeve.

Your welcome B_M The arrows are more like the GP style and bolt on direct.

which arrows bolt on directly? we have made a couple custom sets but they are not a "bolt-on."
