TOPIC: Flash to pass switch...
Flash to pass switch... 4 years 1 week ago #1
|
It was brought to our attention in another thread that the EU bikes, actually non-North American bikes, have a flash to pass switch on the left handle bar switch assembly.
My plan is to try get one and put it on my US VMax. I was further encouraged when I realized the handle bar assembly comes with the complete wiring harness. I am hoping someone from the outside North America can help me with the part number. Dealers and everything I find online only shows US part numbers. I do not know where to look... Here is a picture of the US switch assembly and its part number is: SKU: 2S3-83972-00-00 Price is $69.... Thanks! |

There you go... Spanish Flyer thank you sir! I have reached out to our friends at Yamahasickness to see if they can order this part for me. On a side note, it appears the Australian bikes also do not have "flash to pass"? As their part number matches the US number? Interestingly I found that boats.net sells motorcycle parts and ships worldwide. I shot a note out to them also... We shall see how it goes... |

A source I use for "unobtainable in the U.S." Yamaha parts is Kamloops Yamaha in B.C. Canada. They are a 5 star Yamaha dealer.
Ask for Jim in parts. Very helpful and knowledgeable. He helps me out with MT-01 parts and most recently got me the Yamaha branded deluxe key blanks for the V-max. Not trying to steal anyones thunder... Just my experience with Yamaha parts U.S. is that if it is not a Yamaha USA p/n then they won’t even sell it to the dealer. Good luck and keep us posted on your hunt. www.kamloopsyamaha.com/index.html |
