TOPIC: PCV without Autotune

PCV without Autotune 3 years 11 months ago #1

Has anyone installed the PCV without the Autotune?

And if so, has anyone not used the 02 sensor controller and left the stock 02 sensor in.

we have customers that run only the pcv and it works fine.

why are you wanting to keep the o2 sensor? the reason for eliminating it is so the stock ecu won't try and reset the changes you program into the pcv. in other words, if you map the pcv to add 10% fuel (say at 15% throttle, 3k rpm) the o2 sensor will then tell the ecu it is too rich and to reduce the fuel injector pulse width by 10%.

A friend of mine, we were having two different views about this.
that's why I posted the question so a 3rd party like yourself would come in and post as to why someone would want to keep the stock sensor. What I could not get thru his head is what you worded it so he understands now.
Thanks for the quick reply.
