What are your top of the mind modifications you are planning once you get your hands on the new VMAX?

Here are my top items:
A bunch of Star accessories like the seat and maybe some CF
Rear fender eliminator - take down that licenseplate mount
Replace the stock mirrors with black fold away bar end mirrors
Take off the stock turn signals and reflectors - LEDs all the way around
HID conversion
PCIII & Wideband Commander
Exhaust
240 fat tire conversion
...

I stiil can not get over this v-max being called a star
motorcycle,

as far as modifications go I think a can o rustolium flat black
and pry off that star emblum and replace it with the good old tuning fork, and its good to go.

I ordered mine and included the Boulevard windshield, the back rest & billet cam covers. I can't see the expense for the CF stuff, but will do something with that tag. Ditto on the HID conversion, turn signals are ok, but those mirrors may have to go. Kinda like the bar end fold aways too. That exhaust system is a nightmare and there's mixed emotions on changing that (double check the warranty). The pods (saddle bags) don't look too bad but will have to give that careful thought as well. IMO, we shouldn't need to do anything to it but grab it & growl! Can't resist the twist!

Foot note: went to bike night here (wednesdays @9PM) and there was about 1500 bikes, I was the ONLY Vmax again & Yamaha let me park it by their trailer. Not much info coming from those guys on accessories. I think whats available at first won't be much..

Whats a "HID" conversion? Love the fold away bar end idea.

Xenon lighting for the headlight. Maximum distance & illumination at night..

I'm sold already were and how much ? As i get older it seems the less I see especially at night, I think thats why my wife still looks so darn good lol only kidding !!! she's got a great pair of head lights that help me see better. OH boy if she read this I'd be in the dark for weeks better order those Xenon quick Thanks

Just to be clear: I was actually thinking of a real HID conversion not just bulbs. You get motorcycle HID kits hat blow away any bulbs on the market. A bit more pricy, but real stunning light.

How about 8k, 10k or even 12k color temperature? hehehe

No problems with the Star thing whatsoever! Star Motorcycles has become a cool brand. Great ads, its like Lexus vs. Toyota.
