I keep hearing different things and don't feel like scouring for the answer. How much horsepower does the Gen II put to the rear wheel? Is it 197 hp? less?

197hp is at the crank with a "stock" dyno run pulling around 168-171hp at the rear wheel..

Cycle World has it at 175. The stock ones Oliver has dynoed averaged about 172. With bolt on mods and MR9, 207.

So 200+ hp is fairly easy with a few easy mods?

Midpipe, PC, top speed fix, big air kit, MR9 gas. About $1200 - $1500 bolt on parts,and $30 of race gas.

Whats the drive shaft loss? I read somewhere it was 11%??

I had my gen2 Max on a dyno just after breaking it in: 182 hp at the rearwheel.

So it looks like 13% loss on stock dyno numbers according to B_M.

Some dyno's on the market are running on about a 13% factor which is not enough. The best/most accurate dyno out right now factory pro is about 20% factor. Even automobile dynos figure at least 20% to 25%.
