Morning! Got home last night and the "itgoes tool" was sitting by the front door. Thanks arabian2 for the quick shipout! An hour later I had the nut off the 200 rim and on the 240! Awesome

Ok, well I decided to quit whining about it and went out into the garage and took some of Capt Bob's advise.
I took a rag and some old liquid Turtle Wax (I don't know what agent is in that stuff but I have used it to clean many blemishes that I thought would never come off) and I rubbed in a circular motion until my arms felt like they were going to fall off and now I have a very shiny tank and no sticker residue. Worked like a charm. So surprised that the Mineral Spirits got the goo off but could not get the mark that it left. All good now.

For the pro taper or renthal what needs to be done for a nice bar end weight to fit properly? Is the hole smaller or larger in the end of the pro taper bar? I would like a black pro taper with a nice set of bar ends/mirror set up.

Look for levers that fit the MT-01. With the R1 levers the brake would probably work but the clutch is cable actuated on the R1 so the clutch lever will not work.

i have done my forks on my hayabusa and gsxr1000 and they werent a problem but quite a bit of work its easy but you have to have the proper tools, my right fork was leaking so when i took it in for the recalls oil pump and wiring i had them do the fork and they charged me 225.00 to do one which isnt a bad deal

Went for a very cold ride only about 5 miles but able to report that in the little that I rode I can agree with everyones comments about the flash making the engine a lot smoother. I take a couple of quick S curves coming up to the house and usually 3rd gear 25 mph and the engine seems to be a lot smoother in that area FOR sure. Running through the gears seems nice also, but really to cold to give it a very long test. So far as I assumed I would, very happy with Tims Flash. Very easy to deal with, very good information before purchasing and does Just what he advertises. As far as the top speed I only had the ball$ to go 151. When I originally talked with Tim I was looking at the flash for the lean condition so not big deal for top end just 1/4 spurts for me.

I took Max to a bikini bike wash once at the dealership. They scratched the sh!t out of the front fender. I'll never let anybody touch my baby again.

I think if you were to find out that your babysitter is beating your children, it might be almost as bad seeing those scratches on Max.

Just talked to Bob Carpenter last week. He's not going to be doing any work for the Gen II. He is up to his neck in work for the Rocket III and the Busa. It's seems that if someone had jumped on it last year he would have been all over it, but not now.

The Avon venom has a very deep tread pattern from new so im not suprised its lasting well, aint had mine on the road yet so cant give any feedback but i know the rest of the guys on here are impressed i had a 240 metzler on my old bike that didnt last long

One more 57 degree cool ride tomorrow and packaging up ECU for Tim's flash. Sent in order tonight for the 4n2mab. Will report with results of the butt dyno. Really only looked into doing it for the possible lean condition that was talked about, but the more I think about it kind of looking forward to the improved power.

As posted above and research I have done the 2" will rub with the 240, someone did mention that tire choice will effect how badly. The right tire and stiffing up the rear suspension can minimize the rubbing as there are a few here running the 2" with the 240.

The tanks I have been building off 1.7 gallons and I have always just tied into the overflow/vent line gravity feed never had a problem I know 2 of our members are adapting my tanks to a stock rear seat frame I have made most of them to be mounted
to a factory luggage rack but made a couple to fit inside a tail bag on the rear seat just have to make a dedicated vent if you zip the bag up my rack mounts have a vented gas cap that serves as the vent for both tanks when plumbed together
fuel light comes on somewhere in the 130 to 140 mile range depending on riding style and wrist action highway touring I would say closer to 140.
Good luck with your project Arty the extra range is an asset when you need to make a long run.
