Hey B_M, is your set up making the sound better? Do you know if a stock set up will pull good sound? And how much can we expect to pay for a pair? The sound is great |

Yes, 12" canister and 2" of inlet pipe. They really sound good too! I would have prefered like 17" overall, but the "shorties" are growing on me

I really like these. 17-in. long, 2-1/2-in core all brushed SS w/brushed billet end cap. These have the most insane sound of anything I've tried on this bike. Going to try a 4X1 with a single one of these next. I'd post a sound clip if I knew how.

Nice job with the shorties!
I like the fact your getting the new Max to sound like the Gen 1. I have the X-pipe with the stock factory mufflers but they are way too quiet for the neighborhood to understand the awesome force behind the Gen 2. What's a set of those Scorpion shorties cost if a person was to order them? On the 2010 red top cover, did you transfer all the trim from your other cover? There's somewhere around $100.00 worth of stuff if you buying them separately including the steel backbone under the foam pad. Ken |

The mufflers I used are for a FZ6 Fazer Here but that's retail. I got mine off ebay for less than 1/2 that, but you just have to find a style you like. These are also similar. Again, it's up to what you like and good mufflers are expensive, so it's best to keep an eye out on ebay for closeouts
