Tim has spent over a year researching and tuning the Gen2 Vmax. Oliver also has numerous hours of detailed, painstaking dyno research dedicated to getting the max out of Max. They both agree any numbers over 200 have only been achieved using the best mods, during the best of conditions, and with race fuel. The cams are holding it back.. A more aggressive cam, gives more power due to increased mixture filling and scavenging effect for normally aspirated engines. Until we see a more agressive cam grind available for the VMX1700, 200 hp is about the max the engine will produce.

Yamaha made sure of that.. that's just the way it is..

How can you possibly get that from what I said? I'm not questioning THEIR honesty.. These 2 skilled technicians are a continent apart, and not trying to sell exhausts, plazma injectors, flux capacitors.. whatever. Their goal has been to find and push the limits of this bike, and they have both said & agreed that the engine is limited (in it's current state) by the cams to around 200hp. That's it! There isn't anymore to be gotten unless you change the cams! I don't care that YOU don't agree with the FACTS! YAMAHA DETUNED THE OTODAMA ENIGINE TO THIS FINAL 200HP STATE!

Besides the way they look, is there any diference between the oem exhaust and this Prunus exhaust? There's a foto of it on Y's Gear's site, but don't know if they are selling them. Anyone have awnsers?
