TOPIC: Dynojet Quickshifter issue
Dynojet Quickshifter issue 2 years 4 months ago #1

Well mine lasted a few hundred miles and the cheap aluminium mounting bracket broke and gouged my engine cover. Dealer is taking care of me (and Dynojet!) but watch it does not happen to you. The cheap aluminium bracket needs to be replaced with something much more sturdy.Take a look at the pics.......

That sucks the problem with aluminum it fatigues a small piece of Titanium stock will last forever
it's completely malleable for life small pieces of stock available on line and BTW Dupli Color engine enamel with Ceramic color" Cast Coat Iron" it's about a dead ringer for engine color touch up part # 26916 91651 . Good Luck Capt Bob |

looks like the small tab goes behind one of the sase bolts and the long tab is your travel adjustment
seems kinda cheesy using poor quality aluminum spend a few cents more for high quality aircraft stock , But I would still make one out of titanium. |

I too have the quick shifter from Ken at Evoluzione. Installation was a breeze and I haven't had any issues with it.
I'm liking those Otec parts, Tyler. A bit pricey, though. Maybe after the next deployment. |

Good Luck Capt Bob Thanks Capt Bob for the tip. The dealership ordered me a new cover so I wont have to paint it but I will bear that in mind for any scrapes that I do to the bike. They are also going to get the bracket made out of billet Al that should last. |

Thats correct, I was totally amazed they would even dream of selling a product like this where one cheap part ruins the whole product. Thats why I wanted to alert people, if you do go the Dynoject route dont use the stock bracket. |
