We folks if you have seen some of the posts about the little aux tanks I have been making all were sold but was able to get 4 more NY Joe is getting one and have another member wants one so will have 2 left to sell this might be the last of them .
These are industrial generator tanks all steel vented cap with no gas spill whatsoever , Takes a while to make them max worthy cut all the heavy metal flanges off the bottom grind sand then weld the two mounting bolts on the bottom i will move a little to accommodate the backrest I then smooth the bottom with body compound , Prime , Paint with a textured finish that matches the frame almost identical then I top coat with a matte clear coat , all you need to do is hook up the fuel line to the overflow bung just below the gas cap thats it 5 minutes on or off , all hardware is included top quality ethanol resistant fuel line 5/16 ths stainless clamps just set on your yamaha luggage rack install the 2 bottom brackets tighten and hook up the line viola you got range you never had before Flying W got 160 0n one fill last night my fuel light came on at 130 miles, The tank is about 1.7 gallons , You gas up the main tank first replace cap then the top it gravity feeds to the main tank and the aux will empty first if you are not traveling just remove the 2 bottom brackets and the line plug it with a small in line fuel filter and zip the line up under the rack . 200 Bucks + actual shipping there really is no money in making these they take about 4 full hours to complete more of a service for our members. |

Thanks Bob, Received mine the other day, awesome little tank, quality workmanship, nice finish & looks great! Anyone wanting to extend their riding range between fill-ups should definitely get one before there are no more!

Do you have any pics of the connection under the seat. (or when tank is removed). Also the mounting bracket without having the back rest. Where did that come from? May have missed previous post. Thanks

Hi I will explain then post some mounting pics later , I have the stock rack and mount I just chose not to use the backrest you can mount without it, I make them with two bolts welded to the bottom that just fit between the slots in the rack and use brackets to secure , I leave a little wiggle room so the backrest can be used or it can be moved a little closer to the seat ,
one 5/16 ths fuel line routes just under the edge of the backrest brackets and just under the gas cap there is a rubber boot simply lift that up and slide off the overfow/vent line and slip the aux tank fuel line on and clamp it the Aux tanks now becomes the vent for both tanks several members have made similar tanks this is just my version. |

I am now offering an option if you choose not to use the backrest with the luggage rack, the tank can be moved closer to the back seat to cover the gap without the rest. the standard will fit both the rack and rest as of now I have 2 left.
Thanks Bob I will ship overseas too. |

Capt Bob, how does this work/look with a backrest?
I yet need to find a seabag approach to luggage that will require a taller back rest (don't know if you heard that I kind got rid of my saddle bags This will obviously allow me to get more miles in per day when scooting from time zone to time zone, maybe even allow for night time travel. I also like the fact that it can dissasemble easily. ---PeaDawg |

I'm looking forward to having the extra fuel range Bob!
