Yep i like mine now I had a few issues with a solid red light staying on and this is caused by starting the Max on the kick stand thus the oil does not get to the sensor quick enough but if you sit on the Max with it upright then start it up then it works as it should the only other thing I have changed is the whit wire it needs to be another 6 inches longer and in black which I have done as the whit sticks out like a sore thumb and the pink 90% spade connectors need to be black which mine are now but it is a good addition for the peace of mind that should the pump fail then you have some warning well done Tim good job next I will be getting a Flash done

The RED connectors are high temp and they are colored by size. I am also trying to find a black high temp cloth covering for the wires.
The wire length is right for the way I routed it, but another way to route it looks easier so I am making them a little longer now. New product that needs the kinks worked out. I have had one solid red light in a couple of months of installing these. They seem to be working 100 fold better than the first version, but it is a little harder to install. Usually works that way. |

Hey Tim, just ordered one today. Will it have the sl longer wires to it ? And... could you dap some blk Liquid Tape on the red connectors ? or is this not recommended. Thanks, Jeff |

Yes, all of them have longer wires now.
My guess is the liquid tape may smoke a little from the heat as it is very close to the exhaust header. The Stock header may not be so much of a problem but the Brock's system runs a little closer to it. That is why I use the high temp RED connectors. The whole assembly is high temp. The heat shrink as well. |

Yep i tried a few diffrent runs finding the wire to be a bit short too. I got it routed ok though and where the wire is not noticiable now but i may use the black rtv or something for the connections as they do stick out a tad. I havent had any issues starting it on the side stand yet but have only fired it up a few times, still waiting for the rest of the damn snow to melt. I did have a HELL of a time getting the wire free from the connector with the needle and im usually pretty good with that kind of stuff as have had much experince pulling wires from diffrent oem's connectors (this one was a pain).
Another quality upgrade from Tim, Thanks! |

I did have a HELL of a time getting the wire free from the connector with the needle and im usually pretty good with that kind of stuff as have had much experince pulling wires from diffrent oem's connectors (this one was a pain). Another quality upgrade from Tim, Thanks! Let me cover all of the complaints now so we don't beat this to death: 1. The wires are too short - Not really. They are the right size for my liking. I have installed about 4 of these but I found a trick. I hook the sensor up last. This gives me a lot of room to install the wiring at the meter. When done, I pull the wiring tight and hook it to the sensor. Updated the instructions (attached). Should make life easy for us all. I have also changed the kit so the wires are a little longer. 2. The pin is ridiculous to remove. - Not really. It's pretty easy to do if you have done it before. Agreeably it's almost impossible the first time, especially if you don't read the instructions. I have updated the instructions to advise you the Black Striped White wire always can be clipped and the sensor wired in series of the oil level circuit, thereby averting all the pin swap. 3. The sensor is too long and sticks out too much - Not really. If I used a shorter sensor, you all would have to buy a thin-wall socket to install the sensor as the sensor sits inside a small recess of the engine block. Even with the thin-wall socket, most would still leave a mark on your engine block paint. 4. You used pink connectors and white wire insulation - IT'S RED! It's the only high temp, insulated, 90 degree fast-on's I could find. Same for the covering but we are looking for some black die. This product is worth it's weight in gold if it saves your engine. Guys, I am doing the best I can here to retrofit what exsist to fix a flaw.

Tim, maybe a didnt write my post correctly but in know way was I complaining about the kit (or at least didnt try and come across that way). I found the same trick after a couple trys snaking the wire from the connector to the switch to find the routing i was happy with.
