TOPIC: Diavel mud flap/splash guard on the Max

Re: Diavel mud flap/splash guard on the Max 2 years 1 month ago #71

You'll need thicker brackets and some vibration isolation, either with large flat washers & nylon underneath the washers or something. Otherwise over time, the vibration will break the metal around the bolts. Besides that, you'll have to figure a way to wire a tag light if you plan on mounting the tag there..

That looks good Ted, have you ridden with it yet? Wonder if you could duct tape your android for a nice burn-out video? :focus:

Now that's a good idea Randy..

Bob, I have one more center bracket in the middle to tie the two pc. together and yes, I'll end up with some vinyl washers and may end up doing some welds on to make it stronger too.

Last year I had my buddy from work go take the demo bike from the dealer and we went bombing around town.(no real racing) Even he thought it was a little Gimpy compared to his 1198.
He even ran out of gas. tooo funny.... The dealer was a little pissed to say the least. I had posted a video some time back!! let me see if I can find it!!
MikeD

Hmm ..cant find it!!
