TOPIC: 17" verses 18" rear wheel photo's

Shinco 180/18 on left Shinco 200/17 on right.
3/4 inch lowered front by sliding th fork tubes throught the tripple tree. If you do this with stock turn signals remember to loosen the rubber turn signal clamp around the fork tube so tube can slide through the signal bracket. Where I put the PCV. Easy to get at with seat pins installed. |

It gears the bike down a little and opens the door for a lot of tire options availiable only to the sport bike crowd. If Shinco would make a 200/18 stealth I would buy in a second. |

What's the cornering clearance like with the 17"? You can see in the pic it is definitely lower then the 18", so I think it would be a matter of how much cornering clearance are you willing to sacrifice to have a wider range of tire options

Just curious, but I'm betting the bike with the 17" wheel is out performing the 18" by a noticeable margin, especially on launching, acceleration, 1/8th, and 1/4 mile times.

By the way, that 17rim looks WAY lower from the back.. I lile it! I just don't think I would like eveything else about.. Can we get a pic up close with it in the light? |

IF I was to get the 17 rim it would be just for 1/4 mile with a slick tire.. I wouldn't use it anywhr on the street.. Well, may b sometimes vmaxmercer |
