if i get the DJ Pcv Quickshifter, do i need to do the upgrade to my firewall..Or the pcv?

Firmware is basically the OS of the Device, in this Case the Power Commander V.

To program the latest OS(Firmware), you need the latest Software, which is the Program which allows your Computer to communicate with and to program the Power Commander.

I'm not sure, but i don't think you need to fiddle with the "Quick Shifter Update Utility V2.1". This should be only needed if you use the Quick Shifter Module as Stand-Alone Device. We have the QS-Thing built into the PC V Device.

What you need to do or not, depends on what you already have installed on the PCV and your Computer. If you want or need to upgrade the Firmware, you most likely will need the latest Software Release to upgrade the Firmware and to program the PCV after the Update.

I did a Dyno run this week and it goes up to 190hp in 4ª gear, in the 5º the speed limiter does´n let it go furder than 175hp :thumbsdown: . Is that any "device" to desable the limiter?

Yep. That, or I think a speed healer device installed and set to -50% correction. But that would mean your speedo would read around 1/2 of what you were actually going.

Also, Mother Yamaha used to offer an optional RACE ONLY ECU for sale that had the speed limiter removed, but I think those have been discontinued.
