Re: VMAX Headlight Projector Retrofit 1 year 3 weeks ago #61

What would I have to do. Send you my headlight case and receive a projector retrofit. Sounds good to me.

I wasn't serious Dannie.
Not sure how this would be worth while from a logistics & cost prospective :hmmm:

1. Getting the kit sent here from Retrofitsource costs $195 with shipping
2. You have to ship me your headlight which will be another $35 approx. each way so ($70)
3. Time in transit would be a week each way + time to do the job.

Then you have the liability to consider. What if you are not happy or it gets damaged in transit?
And I would probably have to become a site sponsor. :smash:

So you are just better doing it yourself or have a wrenching session with your VMAX buddies :lolipop:

Good Luck Phil. Hopefully it will be pretty straight forward with some help from here.

Yep, with your right up should be a peice of cake. Just need to decide if i should remove the lense and black out the reflector or just leave it shiny???? Too bad it wont start getting very dark here at night until mid August lol.
I need these installed in to my new truck for winter!!!!!

Here is a picture from a CaptBob's bike where he left it chrome inside.
It all depends on what your prefer. Painting certainly adds more work FYI ...

That would be beautiful if it were painted ZO6 Red just like their headlights. But well worth the time. If I can get this figured out I will be doing that to mine. Or ZO6 yellow, haven't decided yet. But the flat black is got to go.

Now I've done it haven't I Nelson?
I have one light here sitting on my workbench ready to go! It's my friends and my brother's coming.

I might make a little video (if I have time with my GoPro), "how to" for members here.
It might boost confidence in a few people on how to do this properly.

Stay tuned?
