I've completed another headlight retrofit for a mate.
I've taken some video with my little GoPro while working on it. There is quiet a bit of video and I won't bother with too much editing I will just publish it the way it is It will be in parts due to YouTube constraints First part is uploading now. The first part consists of "How to" repair your headlight lens if you have many stone chips in it. The video's following will have more details on the retrofit itself Stay tuned Kris |

Thanks guys.
You don't realise how stupid you sound or look on the camera until you take a video of yourself. But just focus on the how to and it will be less embarrassing Part 2 - Baking your headlight open Part 3 - Retrofitting and completing the job |

Hey Kris,
Great job on the videos ( and the headlight, since it is mine!!) I For those of you out there who don't know Kris or his skills, this thread gives a bit of an idea of the kind of guy he is. After Kris went through the process of working out what to order and experimenting to fit the HID set-up on his bike, his brother and I decided we should do the same conversion to our bikes in the hope of being more visible on the road. Kris ordered the parts for us both and we were going to go to his place and pull both our headlights out and have him oversee the project. Kris then told me he was going to do a video of the process to help those of you out there who were not feeling very confident in taking on the task. He asked me to drop the headlight off to his place and he would take care of it during the week (when I was working and was unable to help him). He emailed me 2 days later and sent photos of the completed job!! Thank you Kris for your generosity to both me and the members of the forum, and may the motorcycle gods always keep you safe as you ride. Cheers, Trev. |
