That must have been frustrating for you Phil.
Not sure how the tabs on the bulb broke off. That's not very good at all Maybe you should send it back if it was a deign flaw. Those guys seems to have good customer service. At least I did in all my dealings with them At least there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It will be worth it once its all done and dusted. Very good night vision and a focused beam |

I had the plug on and off a couple times but the last time I went to unlock the socket from the bulb they just twisted off. At that point I just shut off the lights and walked away, must have been my brute strength. The only bulbs I could find locally are oem and are like 145.00 and up depending. I'm going to call TRS in the morning and get another bulb coming, I didn't realize there were so many choices in bulbs from cheap 5.00 chinese eBay bulbs to 200.00 hi end bulbs sold at TRS.
I want to do this mod on my 2012 ford f250, I guess those lights are a real bear to get apart needing multiple trips to the oven. |

I broke the tabs off my bulb too. I wasn't very happy at the time either. I was able to find the tab in the orange connector and glued it back to the bulb. So far its been holding good.

looks great. It would be nice if someone made the entire assembly with the lights available for sale for those who don't have the time and patience to go through this process.

Ebi, I am time poor myself, but like anything in life if you want something bad enough you will make time. Having said that patience is important for a good end result here. It certainly isn't a walk in the park. |
