TOPIC: Magical Racing Install on ol' Red

Re: Magical Racing Install on ol' Red 1 year 1 month ago #11

I would say that this looks good and the black on the bike will make you go faster. But really you will never be as fast, as all black, so I would have it painted red to match the rest of your beautiful (but slower) beast than it will look great!

Here are a couple pics as requested of the easy peasy mods for the stock MR Belly pan mounting points originally designed for the stock Yami Cat.
I had to fab the left side bracket from mild steel and a couple holes, the right side, I used the stock "L" hanger from MR, flattened, then twisted 90 degress to fit the stock MR hole positions.

Looks good Brett it seems to get blacker every time you add a mod you telling us something ?

Nice job on the bracket and looks like you got your height just right anything touching on the bottom ?

Did it take 2 cans of our special black texture ?

Just one rattle can, and no not hitting anything, very minimal trimming as well for the Akra

Don't think so Q,
Big D has his bike lowered 2" and he very rarely scrubs the ground, My bike is stock height. I do not want to hinder its twisty-ness any more than just the 240.

Looks VERY nice. I like it very much !!!

I thought, after reading Capt. Bob's comments long time ago, this wouldn't fit well with the Akra's, but, now as i see it on your Bike, i may take another, closer look at it, tomorrow. Is this the FRP Version ?

Yes, FRP, very good quality
It could use a little bit more fill in toward the back where the Cat used to be, Dinan did this to his pan and looks great as well. But with the akros it does not look to bad stock.
