Nice Job Mark looks to be worth the wait on the coating and cutting edge on the bar ends i like that, I thought you were doing the speedo did you change you mind? No, I did everything around the headlight and also the speedo mount. I scratched a piece when putting the headlight and fairing back on, after installing the new signals. Sooooo I powder coated all those pieces in front of the speedo so that they would match. |

Darn, have the same covers on mine. Bought last year from Frank and so far happy with "the look"! I feel your pain. Unfortunately it's inevitable. When it happens you can either paint the Max to match.....or I can hook you up with my powder coating guy. |

Looks great Mark! I'll see how the covers look at the end of the season and if they're looking "barney" I will get that powder coaters name from ya!!
Thanks and keep the mods coming! Really like that exhaust....... |

That might be the best looking exhaust yet. Matches the scoops and the side cover perfect. Mark are those the "new" side covers?

I remember your take offs were rather small lens wise how do these compare ? Bob, I've had bar end mirrors on my Gen 1 and didn't like them because I couldn't get used to having something outside of my hands on the bars. These I've gotten used to very fast. I'm amazed at the view, I can see obviously the lane next to the mirror, but also directly behind and the lane on the opposite side behind me. They make a larger set as well and was thinking I was going have to trade up when I had these in my hands cause they seemed small.....but once they were on the bike they were fine for me. The larger ones would be even better I'm sure. I'm partial to round mirrors for strictly aesthetic reasons because of all the other "round" stuff that faces the rider when seated on the bike (tach, shift light...etc.) They are designed to fold in. They are made by Joker Machine. www.jokermachine.com/itemstreet2004.asp?...yID=62&Placeholder=0 |
