That might be the best looking exhaust yet. Matches the scoops and the side cover perfect. Mark are those the "new" side covers? Thanks. Yes the side covers were powder coated to "de-Barneyize" them. I was actually talking about these covers, the shiny ones. Oh......nope those are the originals. After some feedback from some of the members on the 2012 covers, the consensus was that the new ones are the same but perhaps clear coated like the scoops are now. I really wanted the brushed finish on the mufflers though to match the covers and scoops. It's not a standard offering however from Hindle at the moment. These are a one off, they are the standard polished stainless with a brushed finish. They do come in brushed Titanium though I believe ...a little more money but I'm sure they look great and are obviously lighter. |

I ordered the same mirrors itgoes installed and will be adding a machined spacer between the bar end and handgrip for install. The mirror base is almost identical in design and outside diameter to the factory bar end. You can order the expandable handlebar mount from the vendor but I chose not to disturb the damper plug in the ends of the stock handlebar. The spacer I will be having made up will be specific to this mirror only.
Yesterday I spoke with a local machine shop on making my spacers...they had two questions......what material and how many? They said either 303 stainless or aluminum. The spacer width will extend the bar end by 1/2 inch. I will be getting back with them most likely today so if anyone else may be thinking of installing these mirrors and want to go the same route I can check what a multiple order would run for each material. I will have to find a longer bolt though for the stock bar end. Ken |

Got all my goodies finally to install the Joker mirrors that Itgoes installed first. I liked the mirror design and have been waiting a long time to get rid of the chrome monkey ears that was on it. There was a lot of dead weight removed when I took the chromies off and most likely the sole reason I have not been able to wheeelie the bike. Oh yeah...what's cool about the mirrors is it has the same design grooving on the support arm as the bar end does. With the spacers I didn't have to fool with the rubber damper plug inside the handlebars...I heard they are a bear to get out! I changed all the mirror hardware to black because I like stealth.
Goodies: Staninless steel spacers I had made up: Assembly of spacer to mirror and bar end: Titanium bolts to compensate for spacer length - very lightweight - better for wheelies Mirror installed: Ken |

Tried the mirrors today....sweet! Mark (Itgoes) deserves more points.......nice find!
Titanium bolts were the inexpensive part! For the length I needed most searches of regular bolts showed I had to buy a quantity of 25. So just a couple of the Pro bolts were not bad at all! Check out their site....some really nice stuff! www.probolt-usa.com/ 6000 RPM for the wheelie..okay..in due time..I know the instructions for second gear tire cleaning worked real well! A couple more pictures! Now that's how it should look! Sweet....LOW and GO! I have no idea why the grass is black on the left side of the picture towards the road! OH NO....my stock mirror posts disappeared! Ken |
