TOPIC: Brocks 4-1 installation questions

Re: Brocks 4-1 installation questions 10 months 4 weeks ago #11

Well... I installed they Brocks system today. Not to bad an installation. Once the rear Brocks pipes are lined up they just slid right onto the stock rear down tubs. Installing the front pipes was easy and they slid right into the rear section. Only item that gave me a little issue was the rear bracket from the frame to the mounting tap on the collector. Wouldn't match up right away. Wiggle everything around a little and eventually I was able to slide the bolt through the two holes in the bracket and mounting tap.

I used the included RTV, it made everything slide in better, plus it seals all the joins up nicely.

I haven't had a chance to ride the bike yet. I will probably take it out tonight.

Thanks for all you guys help

Bob

Capt,

I went with the Short Mega.

I went for a 50 mile ride last night and am very happy with the setup The pipe sounds great, has several different tones depending on the amount of throttle twisted. I am very happy with it so fare.

I must add... I also install Tim "Mr Guru" Nash's latest flash for the big air induction and between the Brocks pipe and Nash Flash there is a dramatic difference. I was surprised to feel such a increase in smoothness and power.

I am going to dyno the bike again. I have two maps in the PC V and want to compare them. Then I will run it again with just the Nash flash and no maps. I will report back.

Great ! Tim spent a lot of time on that tune with individual cylinder tuning
and to date the Premiere system as far as performance goes , Dont know if you had a chance to really let er go in the upper ranges but huge difference on top.

I run zero map just use the PCV as slave for Quickshifter .

You now have the ultimate power combination Bob.....it's going to be fun!

One note, if you have the re-flash for the Brocks/Monster Air combo should NOT be running a map on top of that. All of the fuel adjustments are now done in the ECU, so the PCV should have it's map zeroed out. If you run the maps you had previously, the fueling will be way off.

Yes I have to do that.

When I bought the bike it already had 2 maps in the PC V, so I didn't do any mapping.

Soooo. . . .how do "0" out the maps. Or remove them so I can save them on a computer?

Thanks

Bob Mark is correct that is why I run zero map Tim took care of all that when
he took my bike for almost 2 weeks to build the tune , Mark X plain the PCV better than me but once you Zero out the fuel page all zeros you must save it like it's the map you are using and i believe you will see the maps you have in the pcv when you connect and you can save them in the software hopefully Mark will clarify.

Bob's....you can zero out the all the cells in the map OR install the attached map it is the zero map from the DynoJet web site.
I had to zip it because the site won't accept .pvm files .....I don't think.
