Go Black to black and then whatever the others are I would think. A quick test will confirm, you won`t hurt any thing. all the circuits are fused anyhow.

check your wiring diagram.....there are three wires because one is the running light and one is the turn flasher and the other is the return (ground)
If you are installing LED's you may wish/need to drop teh voltage on the turn flasher wire. I had to use a 470 ohm resistor to get my LED's to burn bright for turn flasher, for the brand I installed. there should be a thread on here already related to LED wires and might even have the wire digram. I'll check my wire colors tomorrow if you don't get an answer from the gand by then. ----PeaDawg |

LED turn signal black=ground, yellow=positve. ON the MAX there are running lights therefor 3 wires on either side, Black=ground, blue=running light and there should be a green wire on one side and a brown on the other those are positve wires one for left and right turn signals, if my memory serves me

Thats right. If you do not need any running position lights e.g. in europe you can use the blue wire to feed instruments like navigation at the handlebar. Quite useful.

Thanks for your help everyone, black to black and green to yellow on one side and brown to yellow on the other side. Blue is for running lights which wasnt used in this application.

You got the turn signals working which is great to hear...if you ever wanted to have the running light feature, it is possible to do by installing a dual element circuit (shown in second picture)...the first picture is the OEM lighting... Also, if you wanted the LEDs to blink at the OEM flash rate without putting in s load resistor (which gets EXTREMELY hot), you can replace the OEM Flasher Relay with the one shown in picture number 2... The second picture also shows the Integrated rear tail light assembly...JFYI... I'm having the same issue. The LED has 14 internals but only 3 are dimly lighting up. When I connect the original black ground they light up bright all 14 but won't blink. So I'm guessing the flasher wire isn't hot enough hence the dimly lit flashing. If you are installing LED's you may wish/need to drop teh voltage on the turn flasher wire. I recently changed out to a set of 18 LED signals that actually came with 3 wires to allow for the stock running light configuration. But when connected up properly, the 3 LEDs attached to the running light wire would only illuminate very dimly. When a turn signal was activated, all 18 LEDs would light and flash normally. I had to add in an inline 4003(i think) diode (old Radioshack stock I had lying around) to the turn signal wire. And of course, I already had an aftermarket flasher made for the lighter LED loads to correct the flash rate.
