For all of you looking for a rear stand/spools for the 09 Vmax, here it is...

www.starmotorcycles.com/star/products/mo...8351/0/0/detail.aspx

It's actually reasonably priced too (compared to some of the other accessories).

That's it!

After I learn how to work on my motorcycle and become somewhat confident, I'm taking up a welding class at the community college.

Those don't look too hard to make yourself.

Well, educate me.

I'm here to learn from others. What you got?

I'm willing to try anything, I never worked on a motorcycle before and now I took apart my ZX9's carburetor and is in the process of rebuilding it. It's a learning process.

With all the information on the internet and many who are willing to help, anyone can learn and gain valuable knowledge.

Here is an example of a plan for making a motorcycle lift. I found this in a few minutes of clicking.

http://justkdx.dirtrider.net/footlift.html

And here is one for making a stand.

I think the internet is GREAT! There are information on just about anything you want to do. You can do many things on the net, you can help others, or help yourself, but unfortunately there are also people who choose to use the net in a negative manner.

I have never used a stand to hold up a bike. What does it grab? Does it or could it scratch anything? Can you get it on the stand by yourself, like from being parked on the kickstand? I am looking forward to the new Max, but I am disappointed that it will not come with a center stand. I use the center stand on my 1998 VMAX all the time.
